Junior Club

Junior Club is a fun, friendly sailing club for young Tonbridge Town sailors, designed to help them develop their sailing skills, build confidence, and enjoy on-water games and seasonal activities. Club boats are available to use, and parents are encouraged to help onshore or afloat. It’s a safe, social, and exciting way for the younger members of Tonbridge Town Sailing Club to get on the water, have fun, and make new friends

What happens at Junior Club?

Sailing and Games: Juniors take part in fun on-water activities and games that encourage teamwork and confidence.
Skill Development: Juniors can improve their sailing skills and advance their abilities through enjoyable challenges and activities.
Use of Club Boats: Club boats are available for Juniors to use free of charge during sessions.

Who can take part?

Any young sailor who has completed RYA Stage 1 or 2, or can sail to that standard.
Must be a member of Tonbridge Town Sailing Club.

What happens on the day?

Juniors should be rigged and ready to sail by 1:30pm.
Sailors will be briefed on the day’s activities, then head out on the water as soon as possible.
Sessions finish around 4:00pm.
Sign-in: Please make sure all Juniors sign in on arrival for safety purposes.
Safety: All Juniors must wear a suitable lifejacket or buoyancy aid while on the water.

Parent involvement

Parents must remain at the club during sessions to support.

Your help is always welcome: launching boats, supporting Juniors on the water, assisting in safety boats, or taking the register. Extra hands make sessions safer and more enjoyable for everyone!

Please indicate attendance in advance so we can plan activities and ensure enough resources for all participants – details below.
